Junior Jackas star in MCG blockbuster

AJAX junior footballers from the under-10, under-11 and under-12 teams hit the MCG for the half-time grid match at the Collingwood and Carlton blockbuster.

The 36 players donned the black- and-white and the navy blue-and- white on the grand stage in front of just under 85,000 fans.

The AJAX Magpies got away to an early lead, courtesy of some strong centre clearance work, but the AJAX Blues clawed their way back into the game.

However, the Pies side was good enough to hold on for the win, much like the AFL team did.

AJAX also fielded a further 36 players in Auskick games in front of the Southern Stand.
