MDA to open Israel’s first mothers’ milk bank

Australian Friends of Magen David Adom plans to open Israel’s first mother’s milk bank later this year to increase survival rates for seriously ill babies.

Melbourne turns blue and white

ISRAELI flags fluttered, clutched in the hands of many amidst the sea of blue and white. Many happy faces were adorned with a painted Magen David, and Hebrew tunes were carried aloft upon the twilight breeze. The smell of falafel was in the air, as was a palpable love for Israel. This was Yom Ha'atzmaut 70 – Melbourne style.

Next battle ‘only a matter of time’

MDA: In memory of slain teens

More than 1000 people enjoyed Israeli street food and music at a night market run by Magen David Adom (MDA) to mark World Unity Day. It was held at the St Kilda Town Hall on June 1, and relived the spontaneous Jewish unity that evolved after the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens in 2014.

Unity Day encourages communities to come together as they did during the Bring Back Our Boys campaign.
